Meet Priscilla

I was born and raised in Texas in a loving home with my parents and older brother. As a family we were very active in our local church. I accepted Christ at a young age; however, I was just going through the motions of Christianity and striving to portray a “perfect” image of myself. I soon began struggling with perfectionism, pride, control, and finding my worth in my accomplishments. My young adult years consisted of a cycle of unhealthy relationships, striving to find success and value in my career, and living for the moment.

In 2016, after years of pursuing the things of this world had left me feeling empty and unsatisfied, I decided to re-examine my faith. Through a faithful servant of God, I was invited to Watermark. God used the re:generation ministry to restore my relationship with Him and change the direction of my life. While walking through the curriculum, I realized I had the wrong image of God all along. I also learned the difference between knowing of God and knowing God (John 17:3). God was so gracious to meet me right where I was and at His feet I laid down all the baggage I had unknowingly been carrying for years.

I have my bachelors from Texas A&M (whoop!) and my MBA from UNT. Before coming on staff, I spent 7 years in corporate finance. I never thought I would ever work in ministry; however, God continues to amaze me with how His plans for my life are so much more lifegiving than my own plans.

Aside from deciding to fully surrendering my life to Christ, my second-best decision was marrying my best friend, Steve. We now have the joy of raising our son, James, together. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, trying out new restaurants, and getting lost in the many aisles of Target.
