Born and raised in Yorktown, Virginia and eventually made my way to Dallas in August of 2021! I am the second youngest of 4 kids and considered the “fun aunt” to two amazing girls! I found out about Watermark through streaming the Porch online, and after talking with a few staff members, they convinced me to apply to the Watermark Institute! Hands down the best decision ever, and now I call Watermark/Dallas home.
I started attending church on Sundays in the 2nd grade, but didn’t really desire a relationship with the Lord until I was a sophomore in high school. For many years I had tried to push God away because of circumstances that were going on in my life, but He never gave up on me and pursued me relentlessly. I know that I am secure as His daughter and now I seek to make His name known to others!
I attended Christopher Newport University in my hometown and received my Bachelor’s in Communication Studies with a minor in Business Administration. I spent my summers working at Kanakuk and enjoyed teaching the wakeboarding tracks! While a full-time student I was hired on as a part-time worker at my childhood church, but I never intended on having it be a lifelong career path. I always imagined I would work in the corporate world, and now I can’t imagine doing anything else. I know God has called me to ministry to use my gifts for Him!
I have since graduated from the Watermark Institute (shoutout to the class of 2022!) and you can usually find me doing an activity outside! I love to play soccer, learn new recipes, or attend some sort of sports game. I’ve been told that I am “85 at heart” and love to take care of my houseplants, spend my weekends reading a good book, or wearing my Texas crocs with spurs on them. (Yes, they’re real.) One fun fact about me is that I am a DIE-HARD Philadelphia Eagles fan…living in Cowboys territory! This will be fun!
