I grew up in Richardson, Texas where my family was very influential in my life, but we as a family were not personally influenced by Christ. My love for people, dance, and activity started at a young age.
In middle school, I was invited to Watermark by a friend and heard the Gospel for the first time. This began my faith journey. My time in middle school and high school was marked by searching for satisfaction from the world that only Jesus could give. I was consumed with sin: pride, people pleasing, lust, anxiety and wanting to be my own God. In God’s kindness, I ended up at Baylor University (sic em’!!!). Between God-fearing community, faithful women discipling me, and spending several summers at the Pine Cove Shores, my life was radically changed in college to desire a genuine relationship with the Lord. It was my time at Baylor where I realized my love for discipling the next generation and being a part of his local church. This led me to attend the Watermark Institute where my love for God’s Word grew and my purpose was refined.
Here I am now, back in the initial spot where God revealed himself to me – the middle school ministry! I am so thankful I get to disciple the next generation to know, love, and enjoy God!
