Parker McGlamery

Wake Men's Coordinator

Meet Parker

I was raised in the once small town of Kaufman, Texas. Where I was brought up by two wonderful and caring parents. We regularly attended church, and at a young age, I was made aware of my sin and need for a savior. I accepted Christ’s work on the cross and believed that he took the punishment I deserved, and my life has been forever changed! My walk with the Lord has been full of folly and was a slow burn until after high school, when I left Kaufman with my now wife, Hope, and headed for Dallas Baptist University. In college, I learned that my sin and pride had a much larger grip on my life than I thought, and it was then that I found true Christ-centered community and began to take my relationship with the Lord as seriously as we ought. I spent my summers at the Pine Cove Ranch and my school semesters grinding away in class organizations around campus (pickleball club), making friends that I’ll have and remember for a lifetime. After 4 amazing years and a half finished master’s degree (sorry mom) I began my career working in finance here in Dallas. I married my best friend and high school sweetheart on September 1st, 2024, and have been continuously blessed by her.
The last year of my life, I’ve tried to live out a resolution written by Jonathan Edwards early in his life, he said, “Resolved, that I will live so as I shall wish I had done when I come to die.” Since my summers at Pine Cove, I’ve felt a tug in my heart to pursue vocational ministry, so when I heard about the opportunity to join the ministry I had been serving for the past few years, I excitedly took that faithful step. I’m so glad to be here at Watermark, learning what it means to lead and guide the next generation to make disciples and be the church.
