Meet Ben

What’s up! My name is Ben and I was born and raised in northeast Arkansas (Jonesboro to be exact). I became a believer in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was nine years old. My faith grew over the years as I attended church and went to summer camp. From when I was nine to sixteen, I’d say that I lived a “one foot in and one foot out” kind of faith.

Then, in high school, I heard a message given to the counselors where the question was asked: “how are you going to pour into these kids if you don’t live it out yourself?” From that point on, John 8:36 became an accurate depiction of my life: “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
The Lord gripped my heart and I decided that I wanted to live my life in such a way that I didn’t change who I was depending on the social situation I was in. I started to see my faith permeate all areas of my life. I started to live out Luke 9:23 which says “If you choose to be my disciple, you must deny yourself, take up your cross daily, and follow me.”

I don’t say that to say by any means that I’m perfect or have everything figured out. I am truly a sinner saved by God’s grace. Romans 5:8 says “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

I am just a guy who believes Jesus is who he claimed to be. The Son of Man!

I attended the University of Arkansas (woo pig) where I met my beautiful wife Lainey! After graduating, I moved to Dallas, TX to do a sales job for tradeshows. After about a year in that role, the Lord opened a series of doors that led me to do the Watermark Institute! When I graduated from there, I hopped onto the Students team!

God is our perfect, Heavenly Father and I can’t believe I get to serve Him and His people at such an amazing church!
