Meet Chance

I have always had a desire to use both my mind and my hands to build and fix things. I believe the Lord was preparing me for the role I play here at Watermark as I grew up around farming and ranching in the small towns round the Panhandle.

Before working here at Watermark I worked in various fields of construction and later served a short time with my wife on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ at Southern Methodist University. It was very shortly after leaving college ministry in 2007 that God opened up the door to begin working on staff at Watermark with the facilities ministry. My wife Shelley and I have been members at Watermark since it began in 2000 and we, along with our two boys, are extremely thankful to be a part of this thriving community of people who follow hard after Christ.

I became a believer when I was 15 years old. Although I grew up going to church I didn’t understand what it meant to follow Jesus. Then over the course of several months from 1989-1990, my dear mom began to share with me the love of God and how much He cares for me. It was on a youth ski trip that my pastor clearly shared the Gospel and I place my heart in His hands. My life has never been the same.

I really love spending time with my wife and our boys. I enjoy being creative with building projects and trying to figure out ways to fix mechanical problems. I love going to action movies, watching college football with my boys, and so thankful for dutch apple pie with vanilla ice cream.
