Meet Karrington

I grew up in Midlothian, TX (just south of Dallas) in a loving Christian home. I am the oldest child through and through – structured, cautious, perfectionist, type A – I did everything I could to please those around me by being the “good” kid. At eight years old, I placed my faith in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection at an early age, knowing He was the only means through which I would be reconciled to God (Ephesians 2:1-10). However, my perfectionist, people pleasing self, was consistently caught up in making my faith a checklist of having my “good” outweigh my “bad”.

Years later, in college, God used a summer serving as a counselor at Pine Cove Camps to bring me to the end of myself. I left camp with a deep desire to not solely have a faith based on a checklist or head knowledge, but to have my head and heart connect.

After graduating from Texas A&M University (gig ‘em always), I moved to Dallas to participate in the Watermark Institute as a resident on the college team. The Lord used those 10 months to increase my awareness of my sin and desperate need for a Savior, to cultivate a deep love and passion for the full story of scripture, and to sharpen the gifts He has uniquely given me.

When I’m not at work, you can most likely find me at one of three places: in a local coffeeshop, outside on a pickleball court, or hanging at a friends house.
