My wife, Rachael, and I both grew up in a small town outside of Houston (we dated in high school). I was raised in the church and came to know Christ at an early age. While I understood the gospel, I trended toward an identity marked by performance and achievement. My faith really began to grow, and I came to understand the value of living in biblical community during my college years in BYX (Brothers Under Christ).
Rachael and I married after college and moved to Dallas where I started a career in public accounting. We became members at Watermark in 2005 and have called this place home ever since. We’ve loved serving the church body over the years through several ministries and have a true appreciation for how God is using this place to impact our lives and the lives of others. It’s a privilege to continue to serve as a staff member here.
We have three awesome kids that keep our evenings and weekends quite eventful, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. I enjoy a cup of dark roasted coffee, good BBQ, and the Texas hill country. While I have grown to love our community here in Dallas, you may find me daydreaming about small-town living.
