Meet Ryan
As someone who is experiencing God’s transformative love, I exist to faithfully lead and shepherd others to do the same, so that they may love God and love others.
I currently serve as the Director of Newly Married Ministry, where I have the privilege of overseeing our newly married community groups, called Foundation Groups. My wife and I love serving together and investing in married couples as they build Christ-centered marriages.
I was born and raised in Austin in a family devoted to the Texas Longhorns, but when it came time for college, I was “plucked out of darkness and placed into the light” at Texas A&M University. It was there that I became best friends with my beautiful bride, Callie, and we have been married since the spring of 2006. Together, we have been blessed with three amazing children—two daughters and a son.
I trusted Christ as a child at a summer camp, and the Lord used that ministry to help me grow in my faith as a camper and later deepen my love for discipleship as a staff member during college. After graduation, I attended a discipleship program before stepping into a role as Area Director for K-Life, a student discipleship ministry, where I served for five years in Highland Park.
I joined Watermark’s staff in 2010, and I am humbled to be part of this team. It has been a gift to serve across several ministries at Watermark, and an even greater blessing to serve alongside the staff and leaders within them. Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving in our young adult ministry, The Porch; our hospitality ministry, Frontlines; helping couples reconcile and grow in their marriages through re|engage; helping men and women find healing and recovery through re:generation; and shepherding married and men’s small groups through our Community ministry.
I am grateful to be part of this local church, humbled to serve on this staff team, and excited to see how God continues to use this body of believers to bring redemption in our city and around the world through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
