I was born on a military base in Heerlen, Netherlands, but after my parents divorced, I spent most of my childhood in Abilene, Texas. I grew up attending Catholic Church and, for much of my life, believed that being a good person and following the rules was enough to earn a place in heaven.
After graduating from the University of Texas at Tyler (Go Pats!) in 2014, I began working at a local waterpark in Nacogdoches, Texas. That same summer, I attended an event called Finish Strong, where I clearly heard the gospel and understood—maybe for the first time—that I didn’t need to earn God’s love. I was already fully loved by Him.
In 2016, I moved to Dallas and found Watermark through the young adults ministry, The Porch. I later went through re:generation, Watermark’s 12-step recovery ministry, after hearing honest stories of brokenness and redemption. Those testimonies helped me recognize my own need to surrender my sin and struggles to the Lord.
Today, I have the privilege of serving on the Connecting & Community Team. While much of my work is behind the scenes, I love any opportunity to build relationships and help others get connected.
I’ve been married to my amazing wife, Dyann, since April 2019. In March 2024, we welcomed our first child, Drew, and most of my free time now revolves around loving life with my family. I also enjoy running, brunching, board games, and getting outdoors whenever I can.
