Meet MJ

Hi there! My name is Maddie Jane, but you can call me MJ! I was born and raised in Arkansas (not the pretty part sadly), where my parents and three siblings still live. I surrendered my life to Christ at the age of 11 and quickly became enamored with watching other people experience the freedom and joy that comes with knowing Him. I am a graduate of Arkansas State University (Wolves Up!) and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

During my collegiate years, I discovered my passions for discipleship, biblical community, leading worship, and the local church. Post college, I served on staff at my church as a Worship Associate, where I shepherded female volunteers, coordinated worship team gatherings, and led the worship team for the collegiate ministry where I first began leading worship.
In July of 2024, I made my move to Dallas in acceptance of a role with The Worship Initiative. During my time there, I had the privilege of hosting guests, coordinating live events and in house experiences, nurturing relationships with partners, and caring for staff through team culture and events.

In all things, the Lord has stirred within me a passion for cultivating environments that intentionally serve the people of God and glorify Him. I am also convinced of the power of discipleship within worship ministry, specifically through the lens of the Great Commission. I believe it is obedience to the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 that results in worship pouring from the great multitude in Revelation 7:9-10. So, it is my deepest desire to see the sound of Heaven on earth, one encompassed of worship from every tribe, tongue, and nation, cultivate the kingdom of Heaven on earth.

Other things I’m passionate about are a GOOD fountain Diet Coke with fresh lime, eating strawberry pie straight from the pan with my best friends, and thrifting the vintage art of my 70-year-old heart’s dreams.
